CONCLUSION
These 63,500 DWT “Dolphin” bulkers are the competitive products of Xiangyu Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering. It is 199.9 meters in length overall, 32.26 meters in width and 18.9 meters in depth with the scantling draft of 13.5 meters at the design speed of 13.5 knots. Besides, it features increased deadweight, Grain and Bale capacity and reduced overall fuel consumption over traditional bulkers, meeting the strictest requirements of Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase three. Thus, this type of vessel is safer and high-efficient for shipowners and a more competitive and cost-effective one in the existing shipping market.
