INFORMATION
This is a double-hulled motor tanker with 9 coated center tanks, type C.
The vessel has a special hull shape and propulsion.
Partly due to air lubrication, the vessel is said to have quieter sailing characteristics, require less water under the keel and have lower fuel consumption than comparable vessels.
The vessel was built and completed at a German shipyard in 2006.
The keel laying of the ship was on December 22, 2005. The launching was on May 14, 2007. The ship was delivered on June 1, 2007. The empty vessel weight is 866 tons.
The 9 cargo tanks are constructed as center tanks and provided with a Hempel (Galvosil) preservation.
The piping (double pipe system) is made of galvanized pipes.
The total tank capacity of the cargo tanks is 3,512 m". Each cargo tank is equipped with a Deepwell pump and a pneumatic afterglow pump. The residual cargo statement was issued on June 14, 2007.
On May 5, 2017, the vessel was ultrasonically measured for thickness at Werf 't Ambacht in H.I. Ambacht on the transverse slipway. The measured plate thicknesses hardly deviate from the new construction values.
The Certificate of Survey, the Certificate of Approval and the class certificate from DNV are all valid until May 31, 2028. The Certificate of Measurement is valid until August 2032.
In 2011, 2 new Veth Propulsion rudder propellers were installed at the stern. Both rudder propellers are each driven by a 331 kW Volvo Penta diesel engine. Also installed in the fore engine room are 2 rudder propellers, both fabr. Holland Roer Propeller.
These units were installed when built in 2006 and are also powered by a 331 kW Volvo Penta diesel engine.
Because of the rudder propellers, the vessel's maneuverability is very good. Especially for performing bunker work in seaports, this is a great advantage. Due to the applied configuration, the sailing speed is limited. By blowing air under the ship's bottom, resistance through the water would be reduced. The vessel's creep line height is 4.25 m due to the ballast tank.
The electrical system includes generator sets of 120 kVA each. The BB rudder propeller motor also drives a 250 kVA generator which supplies power by driving the Deepwell pumps on deck. The aft engine room is equipped with aluminum floor plates and fluorescent lighting.
The forward engine room has steel floor plates and fluorescent lighting.
The aft accommodation includes 5 bedrooms. The accommodation is divided into an upper deck area including a captain's cabin with bathroom and a living room with open kitchen.
Below deck there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The accommodation and wheelhouse are air-conditioned. The wheelhouse is equipped with underfloor heating. The accommodation is suitable for operating mode A 1, A2 and B. There is no pre-accommodation available.
The wheelhouse is placed on a hydraulic lifting column and is equipped with all necessary nautical equipment including 2 radar installations.
The vessel can (possibly) be delivered with a T/C from a charterer.
Delivery in consultation.
