SSCV INFORMATOIN
Asymmetric design for port and starboard pontoons.
This vessel is non-traditional semi submersible crane vessel wit hits own unique features:
Asymmetric main structure design:
starboard main pontoon and column and port smaller outrigger pontoon and hydrodynamic principles and can raise towing speed, optimize light weight and reduce the time to adjust ballast water under lifting condition.
No transverse bracing design:
this can eliminate the fatigue hot spot at bracing-column or bracing-pontoon connection area; optimize light weight; reduce the towing resistance and so raise the towing speed and DP capacity, convenient for offshore ships to travel in areas between two pontoons. This is the innovational newest concept design of 7th generation.
AIR COMPRESSED BALLAST SYSTEM
Air compressed ballast system with following features:
To cooperate the lifting operation, ballast capacity is:
ballast water adjustment should be completed within 40 minutes with 3,600 tons lifting operation.
Introduce GL Noble Denton lifting analysis and optimized tank ballast analysis to ensure the lifting operation is safety and reliability.
Introduce advanced remote controle system from CVT company to ensure the system operated smoothly under dufferent kinds of ballast conditions with complicated remote valve system.
DP CAPACITY ANALYSIS
Hydrodynamics analysis is based on WAMIT software and post-processed by in-house program to get the DP capacity.
The analysis shows that this vessel has satisfied DP capacity and meet class requirements of DPS3.
Mooring analysis is based on HARP software and calculation results demonstrates that current 4 points mooring system can perform station-keeping function well in shallow water.
2x 1800 TONS DEEPWATER CRANE
The 2x 1800 tons deep water cranes are custom-made for SSCV of Shipyard, which is designed and constructed by Huisman company, The Netherlands:
Totally electricity driven.
System back up for crane supply system.
Main hook and secondary hook use the same winch.
Main hoist with 3000 m wire rope capacity, 500 m traveling for 1800 tons lifting; 1500 m traveling for 600 tons lifting; 3000 m traveling for 300 tons lifting.
DPS3 SYSTEM
This vessel is equipped with DPS3 and following equipments and systems to cooperate lifting equipments to realize the steady offshore lifting operation:
All-direction propellers with high performance.
Introduce automatic control and dynamic postioning system designed by CVT company to strongly ensure the system function.
HIGH REQUIREMENTS ON VIBRATION AND NOISE CONTROL
Vessel is used for not only offshore lifting but also accommodation:
Max 618 holding capacity.
High requirements on noise control for living quarters:
UKHSE standards for 350 person living areas and IMO resolution A.468 for other areas.
ISO 6954 - 2000 and ISO 7547 - 2002 for vibration.
